“I got involved in solar cooking through my mother. When I was in college, I remember coming home to visit my parents and seeing this giant solar cooker in a wheelbarrow in the driveway."
-Jim Moose, Executive Committee, Solar Cookers International and Kirstie Wilson, 2012 SCI Volunteer of the Year

Planning Your Gift Can be Simple
The simplest way to leave a legacy is by adding, or changing, a beneficiary on a retirement fund or life insurance policy. You may also choose to add Solar Cookers International to a will or estate plan with help from your financial adviser. Sample language is included below.
"I give, devise, and bequeath to Solar Cookers International, a nonprofit corporation located in Sacramento, California, ___ percent of my estate (or the sum of $_____, or the property described herein) for its general purposes."
You may be able to enjoy tax benefits while receiving an annual rate of return. If you are interested in options such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, or charitable lead trusts, Solar Cookers International would be glad to put you in touch with an adviser at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, managers of Solar Cookers International’s Endowment Fund.
All of us, regardless of age, wealth or affiliation, have the ability to leave a legacy for future generations. All gifts are important and will help your passion for solar cooking continue far into the future.
