Bill Hudson has been on SCI’s Board of Directors since January 2010. He retired from Hewlett-Packard Company in 2005 after working there 33 years as a transformer design engineer, engineering manager and materials engineer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Bill’s wife Debbie introduced him to solar cooking when she took a one-day workshop and built a solar box cooker in 1989. After retiring Bill and Debbie have done volunteer work in SCI’s office and have demonstrated solar cooking in various venues. Bill is a volunteer Facilities Manager at East Parkway Church, where he serves his faith community as a Deacon. Bill is motivated to help those in need.
