"As a meteorologist, I have learned a great deal about how quickly our world is changing and climate change, too. I am compelled to exhibit behavior to curb the current temperature trends. As a mother of three, I am also compelled to support improved health and safety for women and their families across our planet who cook over open fires. I have been a solar cook for six years to do my part. SCI is making a difference on a global level. They are saving lives and the environment and I am proud to be part of the effort.”

Ms. Woods is currently on the advisory committee for Climate Central, a nonprofit dedicated to education on climate change.
