Often a mutual fund company will require that an account be established in the name of the donation recipient. Involving SCI in the establishment of such an account will help ensure SCI receives the funds you wish to donate in a timely manner. Please note that mutual fund donations require a longer processing time.
As CDs mature, the beneficiary designation will need to be resubmitted, or it can be set up to automatically roll over to a new CD.
