On November 13, Solar Cookers International (SCI) participated in a joint side event with the United Nations Climate Technology Centre and Network (UN CTCN) at the Nordic COP30 Pavilion (Blue Zone) during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil. The session, titled “EU–UN Cooperation for Climate Security: Advancing Peace and Resilience Through Locally Led Climate Technologies and Solutions,” highlighted the critical role of accessible, community-driven climate technologies in strengthening global stability.

SCI Strategic Partnerships Manager Keith Wingeard emphasized how solar cooking reduces fuel scarcity, lowers household expenses, and decreases conflict pressures linked to resource competition. The event showcased the transformative potential of clean, locally led solutions in building resilience and advancing climate security worldwide.
