We are grateful to The Rockefeller Foundation for the invitation to join this powerful gathering of leaders, funders, and innovators. Participating in Big Bets Live offered SCI the opportunity to raise visibility for solar cooking as a clean, affordable, and empowering solution—especially critical in communities that lack access to safe and sustainable cooking methods.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors and supporters. Your continued commitment makes it possible for SCI to represent the solar cooking movement on global stages like this one, pushing forward our mission to make solar thermal cooking more accessible to refugees and communities worldwide.

During the event, Dr. Rajiv Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation, spotlighted solar cooking in Africa as one of the world’s most impactful solutions. His remarks underscored the role of solar cooking in achieving climate and development goals, and highlighted the growing recognition of SCI’s work as part of a larger global movement for clean energy.

Be sure to catch Dr. Shah's comment about solar cooking at the 5:40 mark.

By continuing to participate in high-level convenings, SCI is ensuring that solar cooking remains part of the global conversation on climate action, energy equity, and sustainable development.

Thank you for standing with us as we advocate for clean cooking solutions for women and young girls.
