On November 11, Solar Cookers International (SCI) participated in a dynamic side event with the Uganda Development Bank at the Uganda Pavilion during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil. Centered on “Financing Energy Efficiency Solutions to Foster Sustainability,” the session underscored how solar cooking can deliver rapid climate, health, and economic gains. SCI’s Strategic Partnerships Manager Keith Wingeard contributed insights on scaling clean cooking access and unlocking funding pathways for communities most in need. By highlighting proven, affordable solar technologies, the event reinforced the imperative for inclusive investment in energy-efficient solutions as a key pillar of global climate action.
