SCI Joins 'Climate Wisdom COP29 - Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow' Event in Baku
SCI recently had the honor of participating in 'Climate Wisdom COP29 - Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow' on Nov 12, 2024, hosted by Brahma Kumaris, a worldwide spiritual movement dedicated to personal transformation and world renewal. This event was part of COP29, the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from Nov 11 through 22 this year.
The event provided an incredible opportunity to discuss the urgent need for safe, clean cooking solutions for communities still reliant on polluting fuels for daily cooking, such as dung, charcoal, and firewood. SCI Partnerships Manager, Keith Wingeard, joined Brahma Kumaris' Golo Pilz, Adviser for Renewable Energy, and Maureen Goodman, Programme Director for Brahma Kumaris UK, to share information on SCI's programs aimed at providing solar cooking solutions to women and girls worldwide.
In case you missed it, you can watch the event recording here. Thank you for your continued support that helps SCI advocate for clean cooking solutions at key international platforms such as the UN COP29.
