SCI Vice President Ruth Holton-Hodson speaks at the 'Solar Lights the Path Out of Poverty' webinar organized by the International Convocation of Unitarian Universalist Women (ICUUW), a nonprofit organization dedicated to building global partnerships to enrich women's lives. The webinar was organized on March 12, 2024, as part of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) Forum and focused on how poverty impacts access to electricity and the significance of solar energy in breaking the poverty cycle. 

Speaking on the importance of solar cooking in uplifting the lives of women and girls worldwide, Ruth emphasizes solar cooking requires knowledge sharing and local collaborations for long-term sustainability.
