Solar Cookers International is Highlighted in The Environmental Poll as a Solution to Environmental Challenges

Solar Cookers International is featured as a key solution in Valley Vision’s The Environmental Poll, Uncovering the Attitudes of Residents in California’s Capital Region.  Valley Vision is a Sacramento based organization that has brought communities together to tackle the greatest challenges affecting the livability of the greater Sacramento region for over two decades. Valley Vision and California State University at Sacramento’s Institute for Social Research (ISR) have delivered scientific surveys of public opinion on the biggest issues facing the region. Their latest poll was released in May 2019.  Valley Vision and ISR surveyed people in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter and Yuba Counties in California. Poll results indicate, “Capital region residents care deeply about the environment, believe significant environmental problems exist, and believe more should be done to address these problems. Capital residents can see that climate change is already impacting their families and communities and fear that more risk is to come. The majority of residents think that taking greater action on the environment is smart for communities, the economy, and our future.”

The Environmental Poll includes a section describing organizations working to solve these challenges. Proudly, Solar Cookers International is included in the section about community-inspired solutions. The report highlights organizations that are working every day to provide solutions to these large-scale problems. This is important recognition in the city that Solar Cookers International was founded.
