Jack Anderson

Jack Anderson is the founder of Kyoto Twist Solar Cooking Society, based in British Columbia, Canada. He has developed a variety of solar cookers and Kyoto Twist has initiated about twenty projects in Haiti, Bolivia, Mali, Madagascar, and Tanzania.  These projects involve six partner organizations and a total of 639 families.  

Mr. Anderson continues to actively advocate for carbon neutrality policies on a local, national and international levels.  In Lund and Powell River areas of British Columbia, he has worked to foster carbon reduction policies on a local level. He has worked with local electric car owners to educate people about the advantages of electric car ownership and to increase the number of charging stations available in British Columbia.  

Jack is a passionate advocate of combatting climate change and states, “The moral imperative is to be carbon neutral, to take an international perspective and help other countries become carbon neutral too.”
